FireFox is a cross platform browser (a browser is a program that interprete HTML documents uploaded to the Web and display them). That means it can work with any operating system including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, etc. It has tabbed browsing which is very convenient for surfing and you can view many webpages all in a single window. This is a very handy feature, especially if you do multi-tasking and you are an active blogger like me who often have to be able to access many different webpages all at the same time (example your email inbox, Blogger, Google AdSense, some other sites where you can get scripts for copy-pasting into your blog post, etc. It is also one of the two browsers recommended by Google Blogger. See what Blogger has to say about FireFox (highlighted with red ellipse) in the screenshot which is taken from the Blogger Help pages (click on screenshot to enlarge):
The Google toolbar is also very helpful and I highly recommend FireFox with Google toolbar as it is a much more superior browser to Internet Explorer 6. You can download and install FireFox with Google toolbar via the button above.

Disclosure: I get a small amount of referral fee if install Firefox with Google toolbar from the button above. However, that is not the only reason I recommend FireFox with Google toolbar. I am a retired Associate Professor and have a reputation to maintain and will not recommend something I do not use myself. I myself have 4 browsers in my computer, Internet Explorer, FireFox (my favorite), Opera and Flock and invariably have more than one browser opened simultaneously, and I use FireFox with the Google toolbar everyday.
